2017 – The Year That Was
As I begin to pen my annual company blog, it dawns on me how quickly the time has come around again. It does add truth to the adage that the older one gets, the quicker time goes by.
Now in our fifth year of operation, Parashift has once again enjoyed spectacular growth, with several new ECM clients. Through the year, we welcomed the History Trust of South Australia, Swan Hill Rural City Council, Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia and the Australian Digital Health Agency. Congratulations go to Henri Guillaume, Parashift’s Client Director, for his driven client focus. Without his passion and commitment, this amazing result could never have been achieved.
Mid-year we launched Parashift’s new website – a modern, clean and attractive site highlighting our work and capabilities. If you have not checked it out yet, have a peek by clicking https://www.parashift.com.au/
When we originally set up Parashift’s Adelaide headquarters in 2013, one objective was to provide local IT opportunities for the youth in South Australia. For those who subscribe to our support services, you no doubt have met Parashift’s newest and youngest recruit, Tom Brewster, who joined us in July.
In October, Parashift soft-launched SchoolBench™, a media/digital asset solution to connect schools with parents and their children. I am proud to highlight; it was built by Parashift here in South Australia, complete with automated indexing, student facial recognition and parent-based permissions for publishing. Parashift welcomes Seymour College and Pulteney Grammar as the first schools of what is looking like a very busy year for us in 2018. Congratulations to Peter Lesty and his lead engineer Zhi for this impressive piece of technology.
As is common with most businesses, the year was littered with a mix of setbacks and wins, and so with that, I take this opportunity to acknowledge my incredible team, and partners and thank them for their outstanding contribution to Parashift’s year.
On behalf of everyone at Parashift, we offer you our season’s greetings, and may the new year bring you and your loved ones much health and happiness.
